Our client is seeking a commercially minded and proactive Lawyer to join their Legal team and play a key role in supporting the business across a broad range of legal, regulatory, compliance, and data protection matters.
This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional looking to work within a dynamic international environment, acting as a trusted advisor to senior management and contributing to the organisation's continued growth and expansion. The successful candidate will provide practical legal guidance, support strategic business initiatives, and help ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
The Role
As part of the Legal team, you will be responsible for providing legal support across a variety of commercial, corporate, regulatory, and data protection matters, including acting as Data Protection Officer (DPO).
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial and corporate agreements.
- Advising management on legal matters relating to commercial contracts, employment agreements, IT and data protection, software licensing, and corporate transactions.
- Supporting the business on regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters.
- Assisting with the Company's international growth and expansion initiatives, including liaising with foreign legal advisors.
- Ensuring ongoing compliance with applicable laws and regulations across all jurisdictions in which the Company operates.
- Coordinating with external legal counsel on disputes, litigation matters, and specialist legal advice where required.
- Supporting corporate filings and legal documentation in collaboration with internal departments.
- Contributing to the Company's data protection framework and fulfilling Data Protection Officer responsibilities.

You will provide legal guidance on matters including:
- Commercial and business agreements
- Employment contracts
- Contractor and consultancy agreements
- Corporate governance and shareholder matters
- Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
- Software licensing and maintenance agreements
- Data Processing and Data Protection Agreements
- Supplier and service agreements
- Managed Services Agreements
- Escrow arrangements and agreements
The Profile
- Fully qualified Lawyer with a strong academic background.
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience gained within a reputable commercial law firm or an in-house legal function.
- Strong knowledge of commercial, corporate, contractual, and regulatory matters.
- Solutions-oriented with strong business and commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- High attention to detail and willingness to take ownership of matters from inception through to completion.
- Fluent in English; an additional European language would be considered advantageous.
- Previous experience within the payments, fintech, or financial services sector would be considered a strong asset.
- Exposure to insurance-related matters and ESG initiatives would be considered an asset.
