Right Fit is supporting an established business services group in recruiting a Tax Executive to join its Tax team.

This is an opportunity for someone at an early stage in their tax or accounting career to develop their skills while supporting a varied portfolio of clients. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you’ll assist with tax compliance, client queries and the day-to-day administration of the department.

Your responsibilities

• Assist with preparing corporate tax documents for a portfolio of clients.
• Support senior colleagues in preparing individual tax returns.
• Help respond to client queries and build positive client relationships.
• Gather client information for assessments relating to international tax matters, including transfer pricing.
• Assist with the administration and timely submission of tax filings.
• Maintain accurate client information in internal reports and monitoring systems.
• File and organise relevant documentation.
• Support the team with internal procedures and other administrative tasks.
• Contribute ideas for improving processes and client service.

What we’re looking for

• A university degree in Accountancy, or progress towards a relevant qualification such as ACA or ACCA.
• Up to two years’ experience in a tax or accounting role.
• A basic understanding of the Maltese tax system and a willingness to learn.
• Good written and spoken English and Maltese.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word, as well as SAGE.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A responsible approach to handling confidential financial information.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A strong work ethic and a willingness to take ownership of your tasks.
