Our client is looking to recruit a Senior Finance & Compliance Manager to join its Finance team.

This is a senior-level position with responsibility for financial control, reporting, compliance, treasury and tax matters. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and play an important role in supporting the organisation’s financial governance, planning and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial control, reporting and compliance across the organisation.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports and management information.
• Maintain and improve internal financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Coordinate statutory audits and liaise with external auditors, advisors and relevant authorities.
• Support regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
• Identify financial and operational risks and recommend appropriate controls or improvements.
• Oversee tax compliance and support tax planning activities.
• Manage treasury-related activities, including cash flow, banking arrangements and financial risk.
• Monitor working capital, cash balances and funding requirements.
• Support financing and investment-related activities as required.
• Provide financial insight and advice to senior management.
• Oversee project-related financial control and monitor performance against budgets.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
• Lead, support and develop members of the Finance team.
• Drive improvements in finance processes, systems and reporting.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Qualified Accountant / Chartered Accountant status.
• A minimum of 9 years' experience within Finance, including several years in a management or senior finance position.
• Strong background in financial control, reporting and management accounting.
• Good understanding of tax, treasury and financial risk management.
• Experience managing audits and working with external stakeholders.
• Previous experience in a commercial or operational business environment would be considered an advantage.
• Experience leading and developing a finance team.
