Job Description:

Right Fit is supporting an established business services group in recruiting a Legal Advisor to join its Legal and Regulatory team.

This opportunity would suit a warranted lawyer with an interest in regulated industries, particularly fintech and digital assets. You’ll manage a portfolio of clients and provide practical legal and regulatory support across licensing, compliance and commercial matters.

Your responsibilities

  • Advise clients on legal and regulatory matters, particularly within iGaming, fintech and technology.
  • Support clients through licensing and authorisation processes and advise on ongoing regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare legal documentation and regulatory submissions, and liaise with the Malta Gaming Authority, Malta Financial Services Authority and other relevant bodies.
  • Act as a point of contact between clients, regulators and counterparties, supporting clear and effective communication.
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
  • Provide legal support on corporate transactions, structuring and restructuring projects.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise clients on their potential impact.
  • Work with colleagues across legal, regulatory and corporate services to support clients’ ongoing obligations.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, deliver high-quality service and build long-term relationships.

What we’re looking for

  • A Master of Advocacy (M.Adv), Doctor of Laws (LL.D) or equivalent.
  • A valid warrant to practise law in Malta.
  • At least four years’ post-qualification experience in a similar role.
  • Interest and experience in regulated industries, particularly fintech and digital assets.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • The ability to manage your workload independently and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office tools.

Experience with MFSA licensing and regulatory frameworks, or exposure to AML/CFT compliance processes, would be considered an asset.
