Job Description:

As part of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Administering and setting up new and existing insurance policies.
  • Liaising with policyholders to respond to general policy enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Receiving, reviewing, and assessing new health insurance claims, ensuring all claims are evaluated in accordance with our underwriting criteria.
  • Receiving, reviewing, and assessing new Personal Accident claims.
  • Adhering to our complaints handling procedures and ensuring all matters are managed efficiently.
  • Maintaining full compliance with Data Protection regulations and company policies.
  • Investigating Personal Accident claims by following established procedures, including liaising with medical specialists to support accurate claims assessments and underwriting decisions.
  • Handling and resolving customer enquiries and complaints in line with company standards.
  • Keeping policyholders informed throughout the claims process, providing updates on the status and outcome of their claims.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience in handling and assessing insurance claims, ideally within the health insurance, cash plan, or personal accident sector.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a proactive, self-motivated, and conscientious approach to work.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • A professional and customer-focused approach when dealing with policyholders.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in both business-level Maltese and English, written and spoken, is essential.

Availability

This role requires occasional business travel to England and Ireland. Candidates must be willing and able to undertake travel as required.
